Email Information and Disclaimer

If you need to communicate sensitive information to us, let us know first and we can arrange a secure method for you.
Email content and any attachment may be confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual to whom it is addressed. If you are not the intended recipient of the email, you must neither take any action based upon its contents, nor should you disseminate, distribute or copy the e-mail. Please contact the sender if you believe you have received the email in error. Although we have taken reasonable precautions to ensure no virus is present in the email, the company cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage arising from the use of the email or attachments.
Data Subject Access
Both the new Data Protection Act and GDPR place great importance on the ability of a Data Subject (that’s you) to see what information and data a company hold about you, what they do with it, and why. This seems perfectly reasonable to us too and the Data Privacy Notices on the Data Protection page should help you understand how we consume data.
If you believe we hold information about you and wish to know more detail, or you think that the data we have may be inaccurate and you wish to correct it, please contact dpo@azzurroassociates.com and we’ll help.
General Privacy
As you would expect, Privacy and Security of data are fundamental to the way we work. As Azzurro largely outsource our customer contact function to Solicitors and Collection Agents, the majority of your information and account data is held by them. Correspondence from us and the seller of the original debt will identify who is managing your account but feel free to contact us via the email address on this website if you need to know their details again.
The information we hold about you will vary according to our interactions with you, and further information can be found in the Cookie policy and Data Protection sections.
We do not advertise or permit the advertisement of products or services to our customers, so no information about you will be passed or sold to any third party for this purpose; data sharing only takes place for the purposes of debt collection, account management or in the context of running our business.
Cookies
Our website is designed to provide you with information about the company, and links and articles we believe you will find interesting. We do not provide any services through the website, therefore the majority of data collected about individuals comes when you apply to a job or become a customer. Details of the data we consume in those circumstances can be found on our Data Protection page.
The data we do collect via your interaction with this website is in the form of Cookies:
What are Cookies?
Cookies are very small files in widespread use across almost every website you visit. Typically there are three types:
‘Necessary’ Cookies help the website to work, lets you navigate between sections etc
‘Performance’ Cookies give the website owner some useful information, like how many visitors they have each week and what those visitors look at (and what doesn’t interest them)
‘Functionality’ Cookies remember inputs, like usernames or choices you make, so you don’t need to keep entering things next time you visit
We use WordPress for the website and as public logins and comments are disabled, no WordPress performance Cookies are needed. If you click to accept cookies via the banner popup then the site adds ‘cookieconsent_status’ to your browser to show you’ve accepted cookies and the pop up doesn’t show again.
Within the site we use Google Analytics tracking code in order to see statistics like how many unique visitors our site generates, how they found us, and while they’re here what do they look at. We can then use this information to improve the site layout and content, or to write more articles on popular subjects based on what people like to read when they visit.
